Firelord warns me:
"This is a difficult game. It is an adventure/dungeon crawling game. You must search for somethings and do somethings..."
You may recall, in Fireloard's previous game, I died relentlessly while trying to SPRAY BUG WITH CAN on the second screen.
Even though what I was trying to do was exactly right, no combination I could think of prevented my death. So, trepidatiously asked for a walk through to help me review this "difficult game"
Firelord said:
"Ghosts move randomly in the maze." Making a walk through is impossible.
Oh. I see.
Although, regarding the ghosts he adds, cryptically:
"You must hear what they say..."
SO, here we have a new text adventure from FLQG. No 10 minute intro this time. Not even a loading screen, we are straight into the action with the following screen:
West life?
Pet shop boys?
The boys are there, but then they are not - crap!
But then I go west, just as the pet shop boys told me to do. Now I enter a new room, with rudimentary graphics. I am expecting a sort of Pac Man the Text Adventure sort of thing, let's see if I'm right.
Oh dear. I'm being chased by a Orange ghost.
There seems to be some issues with the Firelord Quality department. What happened to the 'n' in Pink? We may never know.
Well, I wasn't expecting that. I guess I should read the manual.

Introduction
Thank you for buying "The Adventures of Real PacMan 2023!". If you convince 300000 of your friends to buy this game I can buy a new Ferrari also, you will get a real tape with this game!
The story so far
This game is about the real story of Baron Pacard Manford also known as PacMan* !
Baron Manford was a strange man!
His skin was pale -almost yellow- he had a huge mouth and a huge appetite! He could eat anything. He especially loved yellow candy!
A less known aspect of his character was that the loved ghost stories. Since he was a little boy he liked exploring abandoned mansions which people thought they were haunted!
His exploring skills made him famous and people paid him to hunt ghosts in old abandoned mansions!
He even started his own company with two of his friends and named it "Ghostbusters inc". There was a movie that was based on this part of his life. It became an instant hollywood blockbuster. The movie name was -as you can imagine- "The three amigos". One of the Ghostbusting three amigos was the famous French explorer "Ultimate Play da Gam"!
During his travels, Ultimate Play Da Gam, learned that there was a big secret that noone knew and that secret would be revealed only to the bravest! The quest for this secret lead him to a haunted mansion with a big garden that belonged to Doctor Robbie Pssst. Dr Pssst research contained important information about the location and a map of a lost hidden mansion**! Ultimate Play Da Gam was the first man that mentioned that an "Ultimate Secret" exists!
The combined intelligence of the French explorer, the Baron and the third unknown member of the team took Dr Robbie Pssst research of the prehistoric drawing even further. Their research led them in a haunted mansion that was close to the lost Count Dracula Gardens!
Game
In "The Adventures of Real PacMan 2023!" or "The Real adventures of Pacman 2023!" you take the role of the famous explorer Baron Pacard Manford. In a haunted mansion you found an ancient scroll which stated that there was a great secret message in a long lost dungeon (which is inside an very old mansion) that gives a clue about the quest of the "Ultimate Secret of Life,the Universe and Everything!". Your research led you outside a Pet Shop in an abandoned village.
You navigate inside the mansion using the usual commands W,E,N,S!

Well, what did you make of all that? I'm wondering if the boy band references are not intentional. And I'm thinking the noob thing is a bit of a clue.

Actually, there are enough cheats to really make this game easier. I think that is a sign that FLQG really wants you to give this game a go. These little touches are not at all crap, and are indeed quite welcome.
Final thoughts
I think FLQG has put a lot of time and attention into this submission, and he is impressively competent at making text adventures with graphics.
However, the game play is simple, and Pacman is not well suited for this style of game! Although that's not FLQG's fault. Also, I have to admit, I have always hated spectrum maze games, so I might not be the best person to review this.
FLGQ seems to be fizzing with creativity and ideas that he wants to embellish this game with. The result is the whole thing has an eccentric charm that is not at all crap.
I confess, even with some guidance from FLQG I did not manage to complete this, which seems a shame, as I gave it a good go! You can too, here.
